- Divorce and family court filings: Get in touch with the Circuit Court Clerk in the county or city where the case was filed
- Divorce verification letters: Order through the Virginia Department of Health, Office of Vital Records
- Land records and property deeds: Contact the Circuit Court Clerk in the jurisdiction where the property sits
- Birth, death, and marriage certificates: Request from the Virginia Department of Health, Division of Vital Records at (804) 662-6200
- Criminal background checks: File a request with the Virginia State Police
